How much does YouTube pay per view?
Most monetized channels earn about $0.25 to $4.00 per 1,000 long-form views after YouTube's share. Niche, viewer country, season and how many views carry ads all move the number. Your exact figure is in the Revenue tab of YouTube Studio.
How much is 1 million views worth?
Roughly $250 to $4,000 for long-form videos and about $50 to $120 for Shorts. The same views can pay several times more in finance or tech than in music or gaming.
Why do Shorts earn less than long videos?
Shorts don't carry an ad per video. Ads run between Shorts in the feed and that revenue is shared across all Shorts views, so each view pays far less than a long-form view.
What is the difference between CPM and RPM?
CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what you actually receive per 1,000 views, after YouTube's share and counting views that showed no ads.
