Privacy Policy

What personal information TRYIT processes, why and for how long, who processes it on our behalf, transfers outside Korea, your rights, and how to contact our privacy officer.

Why we process personal information

We process personal information to sign you up, log you in and verify your identity; to provide the service (saved items, watchlists, channel connection, notification emails); to enter into and perform paid subscription contracts and handle refunds and cancellations; to handle inquiries and disputes; to prevent abuse; and to analyze service quality.

Information we process

With email login we process your email address. With Google login we process your email, name, profile image and Google account identifier. With Kakao login we process your nickname, profile image (optional consent) and Kakao member number. If an account without a deliverable email address (such as a Kakao login) buys a paid plan, we ask for an email address before payment to send contract details and receipts, and verify it with a confirmation code. When you finish signing up we process your name, gender and date of birth, your mobile phone number if you choose phone verification (to send and check a verification text), the date and time you agreed to the required terms, and, if you agreed to marketing messages, that consent and its date and time. When you use creation tools (image, voice and text generation, transcription and others) we process the text, images, audio and video you put in while the result is being produced. To protect sessions we may store your IP address and user agent for a limited time.

Data screens such as lists, search and analysis are available only to accounts that have completed verification (paid accounts are exempt). You verify with either a text message to your mobile phone or the email address you logged in with. One phone number or one email address (for Gmail, the address with aliases and dots removed) can verify only one account. This prevents the same person from creating several accounts to reuse usage limits.

If you verify by email, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address (for IPv6, of the /64 range) and the verification time for 30 days and then delete them, so that only one email-verified account can be created from the same internet connection in 30 days. The IP address itself is not kept in this record.

Information you save

Saved content, watchlists, newsletter settings and the YouTube channel you connect are linked to your account. Login codes and OAuth state values are deleted after they expire.

Team workspaces

On plans with team seats, when you invite a teammate we use the invitee's email address to send the invitation and confirm that they joined. A member's name, email and usage counts are visible to the owner and admins of that workspace, and invitation, joining and removal records stay in the workspace. Lists, projects and files saved in a team space belong to that workspace, are shared with members of the same team, and remain in the workspace after a member leaves or is removed. Information in a member's personal space is not visible to other members.

Service analytics

Where configured, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may be used to analyze service quality and errors. Original content is shown through each platform's public links and metadata.

Collection and processing of public information

To provide content and creator analysis reports, TRYIT collects and uses only information that people have made available to the general public on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, the Meta Ad Library, Naver and similar services. We do not collect private accounts or restricted information.

  • Items: public profiles (name, profile image, bio, handle), public post information (title, thumbnail, publish date, link), public statistics (subscribers, followers, views, likes, comments)
  • Method: each platform's official API (including YouTube API Services); account names that users tell us through the TRYIT extension or "Submit accounts" are checked again through the official API (see the extension and submitted-accounts sections below)
  • Processing: we turn what we collect into statistics and derived indicators such as growth rates, scores and grades, and link to the original content on each platform.
  • Opt-out: the person the public information is about (the creator) can ask us at any time at hello@inctryit.com to exclude their information from analysis and display, and we act on it without delay after checking.

YouTube API Services

TRYIT uses YouTube API Services. By using TRYIT you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the processing of YouTube data. If you connected a YouTube channel, you can revoke TRYIT's access at any time on the Google security settings page.

When you connect a channel, TRYIT uses the youtube.readonly scope to read only that channel's ID, title, subscriber count and recent upload titles, and uses them for the "gap analysis" on your My page (suggesting trending topics you have not covered yet). TRYIT never posts to or changes your channel, does not use this information for advertising, does not sell or provide it to anyone else, and does not use it to train AI models. We store only the channel ID, title, subscriber count and a refresh token (in our server database on Cloudflare; the refresh token is stored encrypted). Video titles are fetched only at the time of analysis and are not stored. We check every day that the authorization is still valid; once we detect that access was revoked on the Google side, we delete the stored channel information and token without delay (no later than 30 days after revocation). We also delete them without delay when you ask to close your account. The stored channel title and subscriber count are refreshed within 30 days. TRYIT's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Chrome extension

The "TRYIT channel stats" extension is published and distributed on the Chrome Web Store by our partner AZET LLC. On public YouTube, TikTok and Instagram pages you open, the extension sends TRYIT only the name (account ID) of that account, and only if you agreed after installing. If you press "Submit this account" in the popup, the name of the public account on screen at that moment is sent to "Submit accounts". Apart from the name (ID) of the account you are viewing, the extension sends no other browsing history, no content from other sites and none of your own platform account information, and it makes no additional requests to the platforms on your behalf. Numbers sent by the extension are not published as they are. We take only the account name and publish values checked again through Meta's official API for Instagram accounts (only business and creator accounts can be confirmed) and through YouTube API Services for YouTube channels. For logged-in users, the account names sent and the time they were sent are recorded on that user's account (and count toward benefits only for accounts the user submitted directly), and are deleted when the account is closed. You can turn sending off at any time in the extension's popup settings.

Information received through the extension is used only to provide and improve the features described above (showing and analyzing indicators of the account you are viewing). It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not transferred to third parties including data brokers or resellers. The use of information received from the TRYIT extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Accounts submitted by users

Instagram, TikTok and YouTube account names (handles, profile or channel URLs) that you paste or upload as a file in "Submit accounts" are used only so that TRYIT can analyze those accounts. Public indicators are confirmed through Meta's official API for Instagram accounts and through YouTube API Services for YouTube channels. Accounts that cannot be confirmed through an official API (such as personal accounts), and TikTok accounts, are not published until an official way to confirm them exists. We do not store anything from the submitted list other than account names. To grant benefits and prevent abuse, we record who submitted which account together with the member account and a network-level IP value, and delete this when the account is closed. Private accounts are not published, and submitted accounts are listed only if they are public accounts with 1,000 or more followers. The owner of an account can ask to be removed at any time through the opt-out procedure above.

Retention

Account information and information you saved are kept until you close your account, and deleted without delay once we receive your request. Files uploaded to TRYIT Cloud or made with creation tools are kept for the storage period of your plan (7 days on Free and free trial, 30 days on Lite, and for as long as you subscribe on Pro and above). Files you delete are removed from the trash after 7 days; if storage or the storage period shrinks because of cancellation or a plan change, files are deleted 30 days after we notify you by email (TRYIT Cloud section of the Terms). If you made a paid purchase, under Article 6 of the Korean Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and Article 6 of its Enforcement Decree we keep records of contracts, withdrawal, payment and supply for 5 years, records of consumer complaints and disputes for 3 years, and records of labeling and advertising for 6 months. The IP address and user agent of a login session are deleted when the session ends (30 days at most).

Benefits given without a card on file (the Pro free trial and friend-invitation rewards) are granted once per mobile phone number. For this we keep a one-way hash of the phone number with the type of benefit and the time it was granted for one year from the grant date and then delete it; this record remains for that year even after the account is closed (to prevent signing up again with the same number to receive the benefit again). The number itself is not kept in this record.

Destruction

Information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is achieved. Electronic files are deleted in a way that cannot be recovered. Payment and contract records kept under law are stored separately from other information, only for the required period, and then deleted.

Processors

We entrust service hosting, data storage and email delivery (login codes, payment and contract notices, renewals, cloud storage, team invitations and other notices) to Cloudflare, Inc.; usage statistics to Google LLC (Google Analytics); screen usage analysis to Microsoft Corporation (Clarity); verification text messages to Nurigo Inc. (Solapi); and the AI processing of creation tools (image, voice and text generation, transcription) to AZET LLC. AZET LLC in turn entrusts text generation and image understanding to Featherless (United States) and image and voice generation and transcription to Cloudflare, Inc.

Provision to third parties

Only when you pay for a subscription, and with separate consent obtained on the payment screen, we provide information as follows. If you do not consent you cannot make a paid purchase, and you can keep using the Free plan. Payment method details such as card numbers are collected directly by Paddle in its checkout; TRYIT does not receive or store them.

Your rights and how to exercise them

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your personal information, to suspend its processing, to withdraw consent, or to close your account. Send a request from the email address you signed up with to hello@inctryit.com; after confirming your identity we handle it within 10 days and tell you the result by email. You can also request account closure directly from "Delete account" in the account menu of the app and website (how to delete your account). A legal representative or an authorized person may also make a request. Information that the law requires us to keep cannot be deleted during that period.

Children under 14

TRYIT does not accept sign-ups from children under 14.

Security measures

  • Encrypted transmission end to end (HTTPS)
  • Login without stored passwords (one-time email codes, Google and Kakao login); login session identifiers are stored only as hashes
  • Access to admin consoles (Cloudflare and others) is limited to accounts with multi-factor authentication, and the number of people handling personal information is kept to a minimum
  • Refresh tokens of connected YouTube channels are stored encrypted
  • Data is stored in Cloudflare data centers; we do not run our own server room

Changes

If we change this policy we announce it on this page and in service notices from 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for material changes). For changes that leave the processing itself unchanged and only write out in full what the law requires us to disclose, the wording is posted here from the day of the announcement and takes effect 7 days after that day. The dated change history is kept on the Korean version.
